Honestly, I'd trade in my Civic for a srt-4.

I read that it dynoed at 222whp stock. I wouldn't mind that with a warranty. h:

Reliability I think is the big difference. You get what you pay for... whether it's a condom or a car. Remember the first 2 years the Neons came out? Flakey paint, sh!tty motor, horrible trannies etc.. etc... you were lucky if you were to see a Neon hit 100K. It's a domestic still. The day you prove that the SRT-4 is as reliable as mine... I'd look into it. Meanwhile... I'm stickin' with my Civic.

Best comment. Hell I can run 13s but I got to fix what I break myself. With an SRT-4 just take to your friendly local dodge dealer and you all set.

Nexus,
Any car can be fast. There's a CRX in Maryland w/ a turbo b18 making 306hp 220 lb/t I am thinking that's enough to run down me and a SRT

I agree, but i think dodge has come a long way from their early 90's models (def from late 80's)... especially the Neon. I just what some of that turbo goooodnesssss. But i know my 127hp naturally aspired beast (wonder why it lasts so long with all that stress on the drivetrain from da MAD PoWA) will out last that crummy paint.

No doubt they've come a long ways... I guess I just trust Honda b/c I've had 3 Civics in a row... last 2 w/over 250K and this one at 130K. Can't say that about too many domestics. It's definitly a sweet car, and if it's reliable... it's a steal.

www.inlinepro.com enuf proof for you??? of course, it runs on 108 octane most of the time, and it's owned by a pro shop...but it is daily driven. the actual number for the turbo street car is more like mid 10's in the 150mph range. it has around 630whp at 26lbs boost and race gas @ about 9500rpm

tell him this with enough money you can make any car faster than another car.

in the end it's what you chose. and not matter how nice and how big of a motor dodge supplies to the market, to me, it's still a dodge.
and to me you still drive a chevy s10 :fawk: :fawk:

If you are talking about the black (kinda beat-up) one, then that little car is a monster!

 I try to avoid that CRX whenever I can.

I would not compare the two. It's just not right. In stock forms, one got muscles while the other got girly ones.

Mechanical things break..even more if the have power to do so.

Which dealer has this car? What's the MSRP? I'm in!
