what's up ya'll?!?! I'm wondering would I scrape with a 215/35/19 setup dropped on H&R race springs (2.75" front and 2.3 rear). The 19's will probably raise the car way up so I will need the big drop...I also want to look aggressive. What do you think?

vit- if you get the correct tire size for your *cough*blingbling*cough* 19s, why would they 'raise the car way up' ?

unless of course the overall stock tire/rim diameter is less than like 20"......

I have 17x7 wheels with 40mm offset with 205/40's on my car. I have about a one finger gap in the front, about the same in the back.

When I was on the stock shocks w/o camber correction it used to rub like mad, only got worse when I got a camber kit. It forced me to take corners slower and not throw the car around like I did when it was stock height.

When I got upgraded shocks, Tokico Blues, the rubbing became less of a problem. I'd say if I drove around normally it will not rub. I'm almost 100% sure that if I didn't have the camber kit on the tires would not rub at all.

Ummm yeah it would rub. And why would you want to run tires/wheels that large? You're car will accelerate and brake like a slug.

with that sort of slam you will scrape like a mo fo...it's not because of the wheel size but the wheel width. I wouldn't drop it more then an inch or so. If you want it to look lower in the rear or the front, get a kit.

BTW ~ I have a 3in+ drop *peep sig* , fenders are rolled and I still scrape Granted I have 17's but the width is only 7.5

Also, I wouldn't recomend 19's on any civic. If you want BIG with no tire, get 18's with a 35 size tire. I would also recomend bigger brakes. Huge wheels with little 10in brake discs looks silly

It wouldn't slow me down that much...plus I'm not in this to be fast---their are other cars for that. I would get a turbo if I honestly wanted the civic to be fast.

The wouldn't be "chromies" either--no bling bling here. I just want big wheels with a good drop = good looking!!

Also a 215 tire isn't too wide for a 2000 civic.... I've seen 225's 35/18's on a civic so I know a 215/35/19 should work.

Thanks!

Oh it wouldn't would it? I'm assuming you've never been on wheels larger than 16s or 17s. Believe me the rolling diameter is not even close to stock size anymore after 16s. 205/40x17" is like 1/4" taller. 215/35x18" is like 1/2" taller, and 215/35x19" is huge!

And yes 215/35x19" is large. You have to take into consideration the aspect ratio too.

But you sound like you want ot do it anyway so why ask? Just go ahead and get them.

i have neuspeed's 2" race drop and i don't have a problem with the tires i have a problem with hitting the floor boards and the exhaust. get some adjustables and you shouldn't have the problem.

Nice response...
And no, I haven't been on wheels larger than 16-17's on a civic but (IS300=19's=no slowdown).
All I want to know is will 215/35/19's rub with a 2.5" drop??
Thanks,
V.
