Vtec Controller install?
How hard is it to install a Apexi VAFC in a 95 Civic coupe? I just bought one and want to know if its a DIY, or take it to the import shop. I have time, so I'd rather save the $ for the labor.
Any help would be appreciated!

It's really easy if you dont mind snipping some wires... It comes with crimp plugs, and you can do some soldering if you are so inclined, but not really neccessary, just buy a few extra crimp connectors so you don't need to solder. I did mine in like 1-1.5 hours.
You need a soldering iron, some shrink wrap tubing, 2 hours and tons of patience. A second set of hands helps too. It's a *****, but as long as you solder (not crimp) the wires and have a good wire schematic, it's not too bad....I install stereos, so it was fairly easy for me.

I disagree....if the wrong line pops off, kiss your ecu and motor bye bye....it's not worth cutting corners. Take the extra 30 minutes and do it right....you care about your sh!t, right? So, act like you do....SOLDER it!!

But do you really need it on a 1995 Civic Coupe (hope you have an EX at least). Cause you are just wasting your money - really. Plus you should tune it on a dyno - and no not a butt dyno

CivicSiRacer-- Its a 95 Civic EX. I have a few motor mods, so I think it might be helpful? I have done a few stereos without problem, so I'll probably do it myself.
How much does a dyno cost?
Any other sub-$200 mods that I should consider? D16z6 motor.

Dyno runs are like $80/hour for about 3-4 runs. And that doesn't include the person tuning the VTEC AFC.
I would suggest suspension work instead
