vtec controller on a 95ex is pissing money away :chuckles: like those altezzas

a real motor...b series? damn B series trolls :fawk: . Maybe the kid doesn't have a ton of money to drop on a motor right now and besides a VAFC can be really usefull if he gets other mods later or even decides to swap a motor. I have a D16y8 in my car...is it useless? I think you'll disagree when i bump it up to 10 pounds of boost, i already toast B16/GSR powered cars pretty easily on 6psi.

besides a B series isn't a real motor...a LS1 is

well, you run boost. a vtec controller is suitable.

he runs N/A. a vtec controller is decorational.

I just don't see the point, but hey, thats just me. Maybe when he's got other mods (ie, FI), or a new engine (bseries on boost will toast your car pretty easily on 6psi), go ahead and get one.

otherwise, its another thing to get stolen (ask 6gencivic)

BTW, speaking of him, 6gencivic had a Hondata unit, and I think it shaved .01 off his 1/4 :jerkit: (nothing negative twords anyone, just proving the point)

like i said...if he gets other mods it will help him regardless of n/a or FI. Besides i've raced a few 6 psi turbo SI's and it's about 50/50, i'd take a LS or B20 but don't assume cause it's a B series on boost it'll beat a sohc)

Also...you don't seem to understand the fact that tuning isn't always for more hp. I don't know his setup but hondata is used so you don't detonate and have a piston shoot through your hood and land in your lap during a 1/4 mile pass, it's not a free ticket for an extra 50 whp.

JKan2001--- thanks for sticking up for me. Your right, I don't have enough money for a swap. I only have a few mods(CAI,headers, right now(D16Z6), but I'm planning on F/I in a couple months. I'm not expecting more HP, just a better running/tuned car.

Just getting a VFAC for tuning. I'll be getting new cap, rotor, spark plugs, fuel rail, fuel pump, and fuel regulator in a couple weeks!

First, a B-series on boost costs way more than a D-series on boost. If a B16 turbo can't beat a D16 turbo, then shame.

Do you even know what a Hondata is? It makes your car run silky, if you know what you're doing. It won't necessarily make you faster. It should make you safer.

Also, I don't think you're in any position to tell us what our cars can and cannot do. Everyone I know told me to swap my motor; however, I was set on my turbo and no one was getting in my way. Once I started beating people, my guys were surprised a simple single cam could be as quick. Sure, everyone wants a built B18, but if I broke my motor I can fix it cheaply.

I think you hating on the D16 because you ran 18s in the 1/4mile.

<-- going to crush the 13s wall soon (full interior 2000 coupe, none of that stripped out $hit)

To install the VAFC, I used connectors. I use connectors on EVERYTHING. I have had no problems because I do it right and tight. I feel no need for soldering; heck, I used connectors on my fuel injectors.

:stupid: the most common question i get is "why didn't you get a swap" and my answer is always "race me in your swapped car and you'll find out" and the result is usually me winning by 3-4 car lengths and i'm not even maxed out on full potential, i have 5 more pounds i can push

nigga please, I've had my car for almost 3 years and everything on there is used with connectors or simple twist and tape.

Gonna tell me what doesn't work when I've been doing it for so long with no problems. I understand you stereo geeks solder, but I could care less. Here I'll LOL at you too (stupid internet lingo)
