Wow, I thought about doing that except also painting the reverse light. Now I think I like that better, but not sure since I have a blue car. I don't want too many contrasting colors going on. That looks like it could be stock. You're right, it SHOULD be stock. I still like the Black Altezza's though

Damn, I wasn't expecting on stirring up this much attention lol.

That isn't a pic of mine, I found it with the Google image search. But that is what I do plan on doing to mine...maybe this weekend. There were a bunch of pics in a sort of how-to sequence...here they are:

Looks easy enough...several coats of Krylon black, and by the final pics, it looks like lots and lots of clearcoat. Hopefully it'll look good on my cypress green Sol...maybe I'll photoshop it first to see...

What the hell, how in the world can you use Krylon and not block out the turn signal? Can you say, "Please pull my illegal arse over?" The one with the orange still showing looks ok, but still doesn't do the trick. I was thinking it was a transparent paint or maybe window tint. Did you apply clearcoat after that? Did you prep the surface, cause you don't want that peeling and looking like azz....let me know if you can post a pic of one with the turn signal on so I can see how it shines through. They look so good, but I don't want them to be illegal or start chipping and look flaming gay. Thanks for your help tho!

OK, SLOW DOWN, READ MY PREVIOUS POST, AND TRY AGAIN...

Like I said, it's not my del Sol, I found it on Google. I don't know how he/she made the Krylon work or anything else about these lights since I did not paint them. By looking at the pics of the lights in the car, it's obvious that there is lots of clearcoat involved, and the last pic I posted is of the turn signal lit. When not lit, they are totally black, when lit, the orange clearly shines through.

OK I am friggin RETARDED, my bad man!!! hahaha, I just wanted to make sure the light shined through. Hmmm, this could be what I have been looking for...better than stock, and not too much work like a 50 50 with the risk of destroying the stock tails AND a set of altezza's in the process. I am sure I can make this work. I'll keep you posted.

Ya, the 50/50 mod is way to much work for what one would be getting from it. This is cheap and easy...

So OCX2000, did you end up trying it out on your sol? because I'd love to give it a shot-looks like a fun project, but I just want to make sure I'm using the right crap. I was thinking acryclic clearcoat after a few coats of the Krylon?

Cheers
