Drag Wings
Does anyone make or produce drag wings like so,

Real bad photo. Been looking for two days for a decent pics but this is the best i've found. Would it be easier to make myself? Looking for an extension off the trunk to smooth the airflow.

Figured it would be an at home project.

drag wings are typiclly made to lower the Coeffcient of Drag (CD). If you want to make this wing as effcient as possible, a wind tunnel would be ideal. Also, an advanced computer, whatever program they'd run, etc. Things of the sort.
I think it could be a home project, but then again, they sell F1-style wings for $150

from my understanding (not the only way, but definatly the logical one):

My uncle works at intel here in ABQ. Talk to some of the engineers at his site and they said the wing's in production on all the "ricer" car around here are designed for speed of 180+ to work. Looking to reduce the air tumble off the trunk.

plus, you can always shorten how high the stick up.
I'm not saying this IS the way to go.
actually, I'd say just leave it bare. Aside from spending more money than its worth for R&D to save .1 or so CD, there's really not much you can do.
there's companys that have put out wings for various cars (particularly in my head, there was one for the New Beetle) that they claim to lower the CD about that amount. .1-.2, nothing major.
about as effective as those plastic slips that go on your front bumper.... what are those things called.... canards?
