pull the pan asap, check all bearings. There is copper in that first & last pic. better safe than sorry bro.

I will agree that it looks like there's some flakes. Indeed you did the right thing cutting the oil filter open. It's ALWAYS the right thing to do (I did it with your old cx's motor ) whenever you build or rebuild an engine.
The only 2 places that THAT color material could come from is 1) main bearings 2) rod bearings 3) valve guides. That's it. Verify that the flakes aren't part of the filter material by taking a toothpick or razorblade and try to flip them around on the filter material. If they move and are not part of the filter material, start cussing.
start cussing= pull the pan and do what tony suggested. Bearing failure sux. Bore gauge and micrometer for all measurements. Make sure they're properly calibrated by checking them both against something with a known measurement. * Make sure the thing you're measuring for references is the same temperature when testing against another tool *
