reading boost
It may seal just fine at idle because there isn't enough pressure in the bottom-end to push the oil & coolant into your combustion chamber. Once you get it going then it builds up that pressure and then the leaking begins.
The tell-tale signs of blown head gasket are white smoke out of the exhaust and oil in your coolant. You can also look for bubbling around where the head meets the block, but if the break is on the inner portion of the head gasket then you might not see the bubbling. A compression test might also reveal a head gasket problem.
If I were you, I'd replace it. I'd do the other things with it as well: timing belt, tensioner, intake/exhaust gaskets, etc. But, that's the way I am.

can you turn the shaft manually (with your hand)?
The smoke and oil/coolant problem would not be attributed to your turbo problems in that it does not spool. Also realize that by just revving up the engine you will not create boost. You have to put a load on the engine (drive it) to spool the turbo and create boost.

i find out what the problem was. It has nothing to do with my engine. I had taken out my turbo and downpipe. Its my turbo that is making all this problem. it is spilling oil out of the turbo into the downpipe and out of the exhaust. why do u think htis is happening. is it bc i have to much oil going into the turbo or is it something else.
is the turbo new or old.
if the shaft spins freely with your hand & it doesn't spin at all while the engine is running then you've got major probs.
Not to bring up anything stupid but if u got a new turbo & there is something pluging the exhaust inlet of the turbo like a packaging material.. this would cause the problem.
oil seals could be bad but it should still spin while u'r engine is running
