how much would a B18B (LS/RS/GS) cost including installation? if it's inexpensive then u could just build it up and turbo it.. i'm sure that would be pretty quick and cost effective

A poor man's ITR is taking a b18c1 block putting Type R internals in it and then getting a b16 head and putting type r internals in that and putting the two together. A Type R is nothing more then a GS-R with higher compression, a fancy, better flowing head and an lsd.

i'm surprised none of you guys suggested a b20 vtec frankenstein motor vs b18c5. You can always get a type R tranny and you'll have the lsd power.

cant juss slap a vtec head on a b20 and have ur self a fast a55 car, it takes careful plannin and mechanic skills to build the motor up right to avoid blowin parts up on the track. i say go b18c1 or b16a3 build up. b18c5 overated.

Raver Motorsport in Visalia, CA has B20 blocks that they prep for you. My friend got his from them and slapped a B16 head on it. 13.9 in 1/4 mile with bolt-ons. He said it was the same price as a B18C5 swap.
