If you have an Auto V8 Torque makes up for the loss through the tranny. But on a Civic or something the Honda Auto is a slow mf'er. My Mom has a 2000 Auto EX and I have an 1989 Manual DX and mine has like 40 less hp but would still own the EX.
my friend hd a trans am and he dragged it (the v8 i dunno much about them) but it did 13's and it was an auto.. so your def right about that with a lil civic i don think itd help as much..

Hehe, true! But then again, that's a Nova, Honda's can't take that kind of bash!

It's true, but sometimes there's exceptions. For Bimmers, my friend in a 323i stick beat other friend in 328i auto. But then there's a few Bimmer people that say that you'll always get a perfect (near) with auto. :bigok:

well i mean your generally going to be closer than with a manual.. there are definatly drivers out there that are consistent... iv said it before but seriously its all about the driver when it comes to a manual

F1 has the paddles to. But I think I know what you mean. Instead of mechanically shifting the gear I guess it sends an electric signal that does it automatically.
