Default Help to install a cold air intake

I just bought an AEM cold air intake system, but it seems too long to fit in my civic 97 ex. I was also looking that is a pain in the ass when it rains. Any suggestions or pictures that you may have to get an idea?
Thanks a lot for the help!!

personaly i would have not gotten a cold air. is where is it too long? up near the throttle body or down near the filter part? and for the rain part there are few thing you can do. you can drive slow in the rain ( if you still have your fender wells. or you can get a bypass but that defeats the purpose of the cold air.

the bypass valve does nothing to constrict the airflow. but like everyone else has said where is it to long at. Also did you get the right one for your year and model?

you do know that a small portion of the tube goes into the little hole, thats probebly why you think it might be a little too long.

The part that is too long is the one close to the filter, and i believe i got the right intake. i even call the people who sold me the intake, and they said that is the right one for my car. However, i smell some bs from this people. That's why i'm looking for a second opinion.

i know that a bypass valve does not constrict air flow. the point i was taking is that air will take the path of least resistance there fore make a cold air pointless.
