personaly i would have not gotten a cold air. is where is it too long? up near the throttle body or down near the filter part? and for the rain part there are few thing you can do. you can drive slow in the rain ( if you still have your fender wells. or you can get a bypass but that defeats the purpose of the cold air.
the bypass valve does nothing to constrict the airflow. but like everyone else has said where is it to long at. Also did you get the right one for your year and model?
