You really won't make any more power going with a larger cat if your exhaust is still 2.25"

As for the test pipe owners: I'm sorry, but the miniscule gains a freakin NA Honda will get from a test pipe aren't worth the emissions you will make. If you pull 1hp over a high flow cat I'd be amazed.

no I wasn't thinking or expecting any kind of gains really but I just don't like the fact the its all new except the cat and I was a little worried it might be holding a little power back that I should have. thanks boys.

Jkan...I love the swap bro. picked it up for a decent price and did half the install myself. I really love the way it drives now bro...worth it IMO! I was going to go with a B18C jdm to begin with because it seemed like the best swap for power to money but I'm happy with this for sure. She pulls like a mofo at 6400 rpm or so

Hey incublinkus...I haven't talked to you in some time....How's it going bro??
Ya pretty crappy hey...I figure that is the reason for being on a site like this...to learn not to make fun of oh well

kids will be kids

Your cat really isn't that old. Yes, a high flow will be better, but what I was saying is that the 2.5" high flow probably won't be much better than a 2.25" high flow with a 2.25" catback.

Of course, you could always just do a 2.5" catback. :rick:

true gtiger, its really not that old. I understand what your saying now bro and totally agree. 2.25"/2.5" it really won't matter as far as any gains. I'm just concerned about how to adapt the cat to the 2 different measurments. I need a cat thats 2.5 on one end and 2.25 on the other. I had to make some modifications to the cat I have now ie. drilling some new bolt holes in the down pipe ....It works though. no leaks either with the proper gromit

PS...illicon don't believe me about my swap?!>>>take a look at the very informative links...that work...in my sig. A lot of people do lie about doing stuff to the're cars but I'm not one of them. I also find most people on this site do not and are most certainly willing to help out those who need it, without criticism! Still don't believe me....... I don't care.

dude just go to mufflertech.com and pay $100 for a carsound cat thats a direct bolt-in 2.5". The Donut gasket will seal the 1/4" difference (keep in mind thats 1/8" on each side)

If you really wanna make a fuss about that extra 1/8" all around, you can ask them to custom do one for you, but I had a 2" header and a 2.5" test pipe and the donut gasket sealed fine, I never had an exhaust leak.
