Anybody know how much shorter gsr shifter is than civic

The JDM gsr shifter is curved more like a short shifter, As for shifting quicker Its not really that much more affective than a civic shifter. If you looking for that short throw, then youll want a aftermarket piece or you can try the JDM shifter and see if you like it.

im another that has been saved, i have one of those shifters but am tradin it out with the GSR shifter shortly. However I have a question. Does it matter what year GSR the shifter comes from? I have a 97 civic....wut years of the GSR would work for me...and who can I get the bushings from?

its not technically gsr shifters, any 94-01 integra shifters would work. i just got used to saying gsr cuz i got mines out of a 01 gsr with less then 3k on it. 
convinced a friend to give it to me since he has a ss. 
all 94-01 teggy shifters have the dual bend. only thing you have to do is modified the end so it can fit into a civic linkage which is more narrower then a teggy.
