Default Civic GSR owners please read

About a 2 months ago i got a 01 GSR installed into my 00 EX. Now the thing is the shop had to make a pipe to go from the GSR header to the stock EX cat. Is there any full cat-back exhaust i can buy that will run from the GSR header all the way to the back of my car? Is this something that I would need to have made? or should I just buy a EX exhaust and run it off the pipe the shop made. I plan on turboing and I just want somethign that will be a consitant length cause im not sure what size piping they used. If i only boosted 6psi on a GSR on the stock EX exhaust untill i got an aftermarket one do you think that would cause problems? Any feedback would be great. Thanks

Matt

Default What's up?

Buy an exhaust for your '00 EX, not for a GS-R. I believe the GS-R will fit, but I've never tried it. The EX exhaust will obviously fit fine. There may be a gap between a GS-R exhuast manifold, whatever cat you use and the EX exhaust. It's very easy to have a muffler shop fix it for you. Here's a pic of the extender I had to have made for my '92 CX/B18C1 swap.

Cost about $40 to have it made and they even put it on for me (just drive to the exhuast place with the cat tied up with some wire). Seeya.

Get an LS header w/ the O2 bung on the header, replace the cat w/ a universal cat(carsound) and then get an exhaust made or buy one meant for your car. Weld the flanges on the cat and your in. Worked great for many I now.
