AND the H22 is said to only be able to hold 8 psi on stock sleeves.

You won't be able to do a swap AND a turbo setup unless you found a cheap B18A/B and then boosted that. There was recently a post very similar to this one about the best setup for under $4K.

It really comes to how much reliability you want. If you want the motor to run for a while and you plan to drive it a lot then you need to build the internals before you boost it. I've seen those with stock internals run well with boost for a long time, but it depends on how the motor was treated previously and what condition it's in before the boost.

There are a LOT of different routes that can be taken. Let us know what you want the thing to do and what you plan to drive it for.

You can get h22's for 2500. And I've seen boosted h22's w/ more than 8 psi. It's all in the tuning. You don't have to build anything if you can tune. 800+ whp stock internal supras speak for that statement. That's over 1000 flywheel horsies on stock internals.

No. The b series swaps are plug and play. H swaps are a little more involved.

Yes, but that's a supra... not a prelude.

As for the plug-n-play, the Bseries isn't exactly plug and play. Even keeping one OBD1, you'd need to still run VTEC, VTEC oil (with some not all), EVAP, Knock and a couple others. Check www.hybridgarage.com for the pinout and wiring table.

The power steering pump fitting is different too between the Bseries and Dseries (depending on the pump).

Yeah you can buy a H22 for $2500 but it will cost you another $2000 to put it in a civic, by the time you consider mounts, axles, rewiring for the H22.h:

Supras are over built to begin with thats why you can get so much power out of stock internals unlike an H22.

They're plug n play compared to h swaps. Anybody can swap B's into civic's.

I like the fact that the h22 has 200hp but i don't want to remove my ac and power steering. What is the difference between the b18 and the b16. I definately want to turbo the motor becuase of the sound. I love it. I want to do 0-60 in the low 5's. Keep in mind that i have a 95 civic coupe not hatchback. If i have to fork out a little more money then i do. The person i am having the install done is really smart with motors and does it for a living but has never done any b16 or h22 or so on motor swaps. He has replace stock honda motors. I have found h22 for 2000 and b16 for 2000. I will find the site and let you guys know. What is the cost of a good turbo and intercooler and what brand is reliable. I am really learning alot thanks to these kinds of forums. Thanks
