Default Correct method to set up coil-over springs

Hello,

I have a set of Ground Control coil-over springs with Koni yellows on my 99 Civic. The ride height is near stock and I adjusted the springs by measuring all corners, keeping them as close to each other as possible. After reading some information in Grassroots Motorsports I found that to have the car balanced correctly you need to weight each corner with a scale.

Now I'm wondering what are the effects of incorrectly balanced car and who or where can I go to have the car corner balanced?

I'm also considering selling the Ground Controls because they seem a little too soft, I think 200F/180R, and going with Eibach Pro-Kit springs instead.

Thanks,
Rob

I did it the same way you did at first but I used a mm scale more accurate. My ride height was at 55mm all around with my weight in the car and the correct fuel when I autocross.

Took it to my sponsor who does corner weighing and I was off by like 2 turns on one corner. You will notice better handling when you get it corner weighed though.

The effects could be drastic, but probably won't be. Depending on how the weights are off, ther car could behave differently when turning right from turning left.

Pro-kits are also soft springs. I'd suggest doing some research on your car, then buying Eibach ERS springs with the spring rate you find out is 'best'.
