And Finally, Drove the Last Batch of Cars

It's totally different, even if the numbers are close.

Oh please. The difference between the 330i PP and the TL is the same as the M3 and the CL Type-S. You think the TL can do 0-60 in 5.6? Maybe it'll be close. You think the TL has a better quality interior? Maybe. Better value in the TL? Hard to argue that.
But you're comparing apples to oranges. It is so blindingly obvious that you can't grasp how special BMW products like the M3, 330i PP, M5, and M Roadster/Shoe are. They are in a league of their own away from the front wheel drive torque steering TL which competes with cars more like the Maxima, ES330 and Audi A4. The 330i PP is a true enthusiast's car, while the TL is a bundle of compromises between value and sport and luxury all wrapped into a best selling package. The TL is a fantastic car and will be a tremendous hit, have no doubts about that, but the 330i PP owns it all day every day.

the PP runs a 5.9 0-60... .1 faster than a car that'll cost 10k less... of course the numbers arent all that seperate a bimmer from an acura... image has alot to do with it too... personally.. i prefer the TL.. but thats just the difference in acura and bmw/mb/jag buyers...

Symptoms:
Feeble excuses on why the new TL is a better can than the 3 or 5 based on value
Reverting to the hp/l argument
Comparing FWD to RWD and saying big heavy FWD cars are better than their nimble performance focused RWD counterparts.
Treatment:
Go to nearest BMW dealer for a test drive.
Side effects:
Side effects may include sudden desicion to sell Honda for a BMW
Sudden defection from Honda.
