But you're comparing apples to oranges. It is so blindingly obvious that you can't grasp how special BMW products like the M3, 330i PP, M5, and M Roadster/Shoe are. They are in a league of their own away from the front wheel drive torque steering TL which competes with cars more like the Maxima, ES330 and Audi A4. The 330i PP is a true enthusiast's car, while the TL is a bundle of compromises between value and sport and luxury all wrapped into a best selling package. The TL is a fantastic car and will be a tremendous hit, have no doubts about that, but the 330i PP owns it all day every day.
the PP runs a 5.9 0-60... .1 faster than a car that'll cost 10k less... of course the numbers arent all that seperate a bimmer from an acura... image has alot to do with it too... personally.. i prefer the TL.. but thats just the difference in acura and bmw/mb/jag buyers...

Just because cars can pull similar numbers doesn't mean they are the same to drive. Test numbers mean very little at all, and the driving experience provided by a TL (even the new one) does not match that of a factory-tuned Bimmer that is a much smaller car with rwd. It's totally different, even if the numbers are close.
