a marine standing in front of 1,000's of riot police should have been well aware of the risks.

Damn Hippocrates:tsk:
Why not look at why manufacturing jobs are going overseas from a realistic perspective instead of tinted glasses. Have you seen the amount of over regulation factories are hit with? You have the EPA, Unions, Labor Board, state and fed regulations then you have a workforce that demands 15 an hr along with full benefits to slice meat on a line or plug in a lightbulb.

Its not about a liveable wage for the worker anymore, it has become about businesses being fined out of existance...and then everyone whines because our GNP and GDP are so out of whack because we as a nation barely produce any tangible goods.

Anyways the point i was trying to make is "I'm not Against corporate America trying to squeeze an extra buck"
But what I am against is them taking kick backs from our government then either not creating new jobs,or taking them over seas.
Corporations get county, state and federal incentives to operate in certain areas, meet certain criteria and many other reasons. Many times due to the value they bring to the region they operate in and the variety of markets and industries they influence. Just as example you can look at the economic changes to a community when a .mil base closes...then multiply that by five for the factory that employs 800+ people and all the way down the supply chain as well.

I don't believe in too big to fail, but I also understand the domino effect that follows.

sounds like the whole system is fucked.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned lobbying, which is legalized bribing.

this generation is so fucked up and spoiled expecting handouts. they interviews a few here that were recent college grads with large tuition debts. WTF do u expect, a 6 figure paying job right lined up when u majored in communications....
sitting outside of wall street and banging drums and cleaning the park so you dont get kicked out isnt very productive.
when they started occupy chicago, someone hanged a banner from the board of trade bldg stating "we are the 1%"
