The TL has a ton of miles on it. That's also the very first of that generation sporting a new 6 speed. If you can deal with a transmission repair, I'd go with the TL.
BS on fwd a must in snow although i agree a s2k is NOT a good idea as dd in winter h:
and i vote TL, too bad it's not type-s tho
Yeah, I drove a '77 Camaro with a 350 and a 4 speed for three years through Utah winters and I did just fine. The manual may have literally been responsible for saving my life on more than one occasion though :nervous:. Naturally the camaro isn't a winter car but even with 200lbs of salt in the back, front wheel drive seems to be way better.

I didn't know this. Thanks for the heads up. What typically goes wrong with them? Syncros? BTW, this is a manual, not an auto.
too many miles on both. That TL if it hasn't had it done, is in for a T-belt plus an entire slew of other maintenences that if you can't do them yourself should ring in around 2k dollars at the stealership. The TSX has 97k and while it doesn't have a T-belt to replace, if the owner hasn't been meticulous than the chain is prob. stretched and you will be replacing that along with all the runners and guides.
Thanks for all the tips and advice. I've always purchased higher mileage cars so that doesn't scare me too much. I found a 2005 locally with 53K miles for 15K which I test drove yesterday and loved:
It's nighthawk black which I'm concerned about with scratches and stuff. But it's in great shape. Problem is I listened to "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" last night and it's brainwashed me into not wanting to buy anything now. I'll have to get over that first .
