Broad thrend v.beenawhile
For the guys who have been in long term relationships and have bailed ... have you ever felt like NOT being in one at all? I think I'm burned out and "girls" seem to be on the bottom of my priority list. I'm all for making friends and spending time with people, but just not at that level. This past weekend, I turned down a "sure thing" because I just couldn't do it. Does that even make sense? :hs:
Something I've realized that in a long-term relationship, both entities kinda absorb into each other. Pending your personality type, you might even become someone you're not. That happened to me. One way by myself, another when I'm with her. Fuck that noise.
Since March, I've been on a rediscovery of what makes me happy. It comes down to ...
1. Being in shape.
2. Hobbies. (games, cars)
3. Being useful. (@ work, around the house, to friends, etc)

I hear ya drew.
I'm pretty deep with the current girl, and although I've had doubts at some points, I'm at a good place.
Although. If we were to tank. I'd undoubtedly take about a 4 year relationship hiatus and it would be Zack time. I've thought about heading the single way, but as gay/cliche as it sounds, the current girl is too good to toss to the side. Oh, and she likes my goofy ass for some reason.

i don't even think it has to be just out of long-term
i'm just worrying about me at this point anymore. not interested in playing the games. if something comes along i might be tempted but it would have to be a pretty good something.

Things are still going well with the gf. We were planning on moving in beginning of July but job shit fell through, so we're putting it on hold for a bit. She has a little debt to pay off then we both want to have some savings(About 1k each).

I always have gone through a long single period between girls, and honestly, those have been some of the best times of my life. I'm not talking about chasing tail single, but just spending more time with friends and by myself. I think it's better for your mental health.
Right now I'm in a pretty good, healthy relationship, but I still feel like it takes up so much of my time I pretty much never just stop to watch a movie, mow the lawn or just chill.
