Why would I need padding? The bar is like 1.5ft behind my head when I sit in the seat. It is literally impossible for me to hit my head on it.

Here it is installed. As you can see it bolts from the floor to the wheel well, with both my seats installed there is like a 3'' space between the bolsters on them so its not like you could get your head through there and hurt yourself...


Here is the mount inside of the car on the wheel well...


Here is that same mount on the other side of the well outside the car...


Heres how you get it inside the car, take out one of the seats and shimmey it in, it's a tight fit but not hard to get in...
