Default Woo Woo! My Rollbar arrived today...

So today I come home from school and see a strange metal thing on my lawn, at first I think it might be something my Dad bought then after seeing the arm part of it I knew it was my roll bar. They are real weird about these things and only ship them freight COD so I was really glad my Dad was actually around to pay for it. I was told shipping would be like almost $200 or something horrible like that but it was only $76, not great but much better than I thought. I had already planned to put on my new front lip since my old one got ripped off so I installed this bar after I did that. It was pretty easy. I already had no rear interior. Biggest hassle was like taking out the front seat and then just drilling the holes of course since you have to crawl all over the car...

I only drove my car up the street so far but the impression I got was the car feels very solid, like the bar bar really connects the front to the back well. Turn in seems much better. I like it. Cost me basically $300 shipped and seemed worth it. Plus if I ever actually roll over it will possibly save my life.

Here is it with the lip on. Cop made me put my plate back on so now I rock it to the side yo$! I also cut out all those ugly vertical slats in my bumper and now i have a cleaner looking horizontal slats.

This thing NEEDS a bath badly. It hasn't been washed since like September.

Not bad..... Just wondering, why do you need a roll bar?

Because I have non reclining racing seats and 4pt harnesses. In the event my car rolls over I could be pined upright and the roof would crush my skull splattering my brains all over the interior. With the roll bar the roll bar will hold up the roof long enough for me to chew my own arms off and roll to safety.
