Got a new garage :o
This thing is pretty big. 32' by 32' and also has a 12'x32' carport and a concrete pad to park out back. Could easily accommodate 4 small cars or one small and two large. Also has an ugly but functional work bench, lighting, 220 outlet, skylights, cabinet storage, and a 60 gallon air compressor.

The story:
As you may remember, I sold my condo in Boulder back in December and have been couch-surfing since then. I found this house totally by accident. The owner had lived here for 35 years and was thinking about moving. His stepdaughter was a past client of my stepdad's, so he called my stepdad for a market analysis. My stepdad clued me in that I should check out this house with a big garage in Westminster... based on his market analysis, it should be real cheap. I first checked the house out last summer (when my condo was still on the market) and the owner told me he should be moved out by November. Unfortunately, after accumulating 35 years worth of junk, it took him a little longer than he expected (only 5 months
h: ). Anyhoo, the house was never on the market, the owner and I settled on a price and I didn't charge him a commission. The timing could have been better, but I'm very happy where I ended up... both the house itself and my financial situation.
Stats:
1100 square feet main, 2200 total. 3 conforming bedrooms plus one non-conforming, 2 baths. And just about the ugliest house you've ever seen on the inside. This guy literally did NO cosmetic updating in the 30+ years he lived here.

Living room and dining room. There are two wood stoves, this one has to go. It takes up way too much space in the living room. As you can see, this guy's idea of "sprucing up" the place was ripping out the carpet and painting the subfloor gray

I have no idea who decided that was a good look for the cabinets

Bitchin' floor
