It's called "String Swing" and they're sold at most music stores. Just screws to the wall. If your axe is particularly heavy, you gotta screw them into a stud, but I wasn't worried about it and just screwed them into the drywall.

Then to cut a hole in the wall. Any day you get to use the sawzall on your house is a good day :exnbp:


I didn't like the way it made a "window" so I climbed up into the attic and made some reinforcements to the ceiling/roof (no pics) and then cut out the little pillar to make a big open hole. The other pillar is too important structurally to do away with, so I left it in place.
