I'm liking this game so far. I like the whole fighting system, it's something new and I can see how it'll be interesting later on. It's pretty difficult, too. I've already died quite a few times, even on random battles.

 

:werd: good learning curve on the battle system. really makes you think about your paradigms and when to use them.

i've died on some battles, and upon switching, instantly became super easy.

earlier i just learned that you need TP to use tech, and you gain TP by stringing abilities h:

 

I was able to make it to Gran Pulse last night. I noticed something now that I am able to switch battle party members around, your paradigms for teams that are the same do not stay, which is annoying as all get out.

Other than that, wait till you guys get to the next level of the Crystarium, your characters get much stronger, much faster.

 

I can't wait to unlock all 5 crystalarium types for each character. Plus I HATE cura and the way the secondary characters use it. I would need 3 cure blasts and instead the person uses cura to give me a fraction of what I need. I do wish there was a way to turn certain abilities off.

Anyone have the guide? It is a wealth of info that they obviously spent a lot of time on. If anyone needs it le me know :rick:

 

How do you level up? I'm completely filled up on my lv.1 crystariums.

 

Eventually as you progress the game will give you that ability. I am only on level 3 on some of these things and I am on Chapter 10....I think. Yes, I got tired last night after the airship so I saved + turned off the system without checking to see what chapter I am on.

Yes, that paradigm reset thing is annoying....ugh

 

Your crystarium expands after certain boss fights. Chances are, if you've filled up everything, you'll be able to expand soon.

Lol. I've just been taking a picture with my cellphone before I have to swap out a member so I remember what I had.

 

I'm at the part now where my party branches off into two: Lighting/Hope and Sazh/Vanille.

Holy crap those battles were kinda hard. Had to keep switching paradigms so much. Battle is so fast I could barely keep up with my targets. :eek3:

 

I only get to play on the weekends so i haven't had much time to play. I last left off with us escaping from the ship in that cool plane and landing in some tunnel looking place. I don't know what chapter that is but pretty much everyone is maxed out and I think the next level of the crystarium just opened up.

 

there's a lot of paridigm jumping ... start with a good chaining paridigm, switch to a strong damage one, work that. maybe jump to one with a medic if needed. then backto chaining .... and repeat

i enjoy it though. it beats just going in with one setup and blasting away hoping you get them before you die or run out of potions h:
