From my experience, Progressive rates and coverage is so much better than Geico.

I never had to put a claim through Geico, but Progressive was top notch. I think I'm at 2K for full on the M.

I work for GEICO, I am an agent Coach (trainer) and Id have to say that in terms of customer service GEICO is probably the best in the buisness right now. I have a GEICO policy my self, I pay about 730 every 6 months for my wifes 08 subaru impreza and my 09 honda fit full coverage 100 ded comp/coll. I have used the claims when I had the accident in my s2000, very easy experience, took it to the shop of my choice, had my rental car the same day. I also used it when the Fit got some hail damage on the roof, alot of other companys would try and hassle you over that kind of claim, but I was able to drive in for the inspection, walk out with the estimate and have the car fixed in 2 days. Most people who claim to have an issue with any claims dept really were either at fault and didnt want to except the remifications of that fact, or were upset about the pay out they received for there car because they thought it was worth more then it really was.

based on what geico teaches and goes after, i would say they are completely focused on customer service. this is only in the service section, i can't speak for claims or sales.

i also can't compare to any other insurance companies, since i haven't dealt with any.

i can compare the training that i've gone through for geico compared to what i went through for time warner and it is night and day. i get 16 calls graded a month at geico for quality and customer service, at time warner, i had maybe one for three months.
