Things are going well for me. Girlfriend is here for the next week or so. The long distance thing is getting old, but it's totally worth it.

I think the fiancee and I are close to nailing down a place for the wedding. Venue shopping SUCKS. It seems like every place I actually LIKE has some sort of fatal flaw that would keep us from having the ceremony & reception there (i.e. closes to early, no space for a ceremony, too expensive, no hotels nearby, etc.)

Sorry about your self-cock-blockage Dave. I think in that situation it's better to say something similar to "Well, there's this girl I'm kind of dating, but I'm not sure where it's going." That way you haven't pigeonholed yourself into a girlfriend, and have expressed the potential that you might be interested in something else.

 

Man fuck this shit, its getting awkward for me to know 80% of my friends are settling down with their women. There's two of my buddies left in my circle that are also single....one lives 1.5 hour away and the other is creepy towards girls. I feel I'm in a bind meeting a decent girl.

Word up. Almost all of my friends are in LTRs. It's kinda embarrassing but funny. Whenever my friends introduce me to anyone female (neighbor, co-worker, whatever), they always say, "This is David, he's single as fuck."

couldn't have said it better myself. almost every day i'm finding out about friends that are getting engaged, getting married / just got married, having kids. it's almost uncomfortable at times with some of my friends because they are all in serious relationships and living with their women and then there is me ... single and wanting to have fun and meet a girl but they can't go out and do shit.
