Broad thread v.itsseptember
I'm jealous of you and chris. I wish I could be over and done with this wedding crap so i can decrease my hours or quit best buy. I could start working on cleaning up my credit and i can start on saving for a house. But instead I have to deal with vendors still:wtc:
We so far have Ceremony, Reception, Photographer, DJ/Lighting, Baker, Possibly a Videographer, we like his work and he fits into our price range for what we want, we just have to meet with him. Maybe a Day of Coordinator but probably not, we'd probably just use her sister-in-law.
We still need
-Limo *Major*
-Flowers *Major*
-Dresses *Major*
-Tuxes *Major*
-Purple Floralights
-Bridal Party Gifts
-Rehearsal Dinner *Major*
-Honeymoon *Major*
-Invitations
And so forth.

OK, so here's the deal... I've been dating some girl for maybe 1.5 months... nothing too serious.
I've also been seeing some other girl (a friend of a friend who just moved to town and knows nobody here) so I volunteered to show her around and give her some company, introduce her to my friends, etc. Tonight I saw her for the third time in a month or so. Things were going fine, good conversation, etc... then she asked me how long it's been since I had a gf, and I was like "Well, I sorta have one now, nothing too serious, but I dunno." Bad move, by the way. Keep in mind, this girl had been very personable and easy to get along with up to this point... she immediately got this pissed off look on her face and said something along the lines of "Nothing too serious, so does that mean you're just fucking her or what?" I was like A) why do you give a shit, when did I ever lead you to believe we were dating? B) I'm mildly offended (I've only humped a few girls, all of which except for the current were LTRs). Apparently this girl was eyeing me for a potential beaux. Then she asked me if I had any hot friends... to which I replied, naw, not really. It just kinda struck me as odd because I didn't think she was interested in a relationship and we seemed to be getting on just great as friends. :dunno:

i dunno dude...a 1.5months relationship isnt considered bf/gf to me
call it "getting to know someone and keeping my options open" seems more appropriate
We are 18 days out and still have some things to work out.
With the invitations I suggest you make your own. We were getting quotes in the $1500+ neighborhood for what we made. Ended up costing us around $400 after postage.
Flowers somewhat pissed me off because we were told you can do it on $1000...we are going with someone trusted and gave us a big deal at $2200 (:faint
. We skipped the videographer because any videos we saw were absolute shit and these were high end videographers. We are going to have a couple friends use a HD videocamera. Our photographer is probably our biggest deal. We are getting what another photog offered at around $10,000 for $2,900 and takes GREAT shots.
My advice is to try and enjoy the process as much as you can. It is a daunting and easy disagreement event to plan for.

Man everything must be UBER expensive over there. It depends on what you do but invitation over here aren't NEARLY that much lol. But we're still debating on teh DIY part. If we do, I want to go out and buy a Laser Printer because the type of paper we'll probably use will not dry at all with a regular inkjet printer.
The videographer we probably are going to go with is this guy Ken Stillman (www.kenstillmanvideo.com). For the package we'd probably get it's $1500 and includes 2 camera people and HD Cameras.
How many shots do you get with your photog and how long do you have them.
