I've said it before, but your lack of logic is astounding.

It sucks that you're in this position and the police aren't doing shit. Keep calling them or even stop by the police dept.

While I understand what you mean, I actually take offense to that comment about my "lack of logic"

Secondly, you answered your own question as to why it appears to you that my lacking logic is astounding.

So if they arent helping me as of yet, what am I supposed to do? LEave the car there for when they feel like doing their job?

so I get to my destination and GUESS WHAT???????
The car is still friggin there!!!!

I walk over to the front and see a ticket was issued. Issued today at 104pm. lol..
So I call my brothers friend which I'll label him as tow truck guy.
Call tow truck guy and inform him im ready to come pick it up. He begins to ask if the car is stolen, abandoned etc....
I tell him I have no idea. Its not my car!
Basically tow truck guy doesnt want this car sitting in his lot if its stolen. Hence wont get his return in $$
I hang up on him and call the precinct.
The officer that answered was the one that called me yesterday to tell me he's sending someone ( once i began to tell the story he told me he's the one that i spoke to yesterday)
I tell him what tow truck guy asked for and officer tells me they HAVE TO pick it up.
At this point im getting a bit frustrated because of the run around. I ask the cop to run the plates to see if its stolen. Regardless of the outcome im going to put on my gloves and move it down the street to a hydrant where it wont be obstructing my ability to go to work, gym, and it fk'd up my fishing trip..lol
He started to laugh ( guess me missing the fishing trip was funny )
said he'll call me back.
Waited one hour, during this time im slipping on my gloves.
Take all things out of my pocket and proceed towards the van.
Door is unlocked and upon further inspection.
THE DAMN KEY IS IN THE IGNITION!!!!!!
so i start it up and drive it down the street and leave it at the hydrant.

ohh and i kept the key and will hang it over my rear view mirror
.......and still waiting for that return phone call from the 104pct.

btw. cop just called me and it didnt come up stolen ( not that it matters anyway ) and i told him i moved it down the streeton a hydrant. So now its Traffic's problem. He said thanks and just to stay away from it ( traffic police here in NY are a separate entity from the nypd )

I thanked the officer for their help. I feel like buying a box of donuts and personally delivering it to the 104pct. To show my appreciation.

correction:....if its stolen it hasnt been reported yet....
Check engine light was on car ran sluggish....probably abandoned.

Should have left it in the middle of the street or in a field or something.

You're still an idiot. I wouldn't have touched it. i would have called the police over and over and over and if they claimed harassment, I would say...how about your do your job and uphold the law and the peace of citizens.
