Thanks, no light yet, still a massive amount of work to do. But at least it is looking like something other than studded walls

Skellz:

I do not like the Behr with the primer in it, but their premium lifetime guarantee stuff works great. Plus it is $5 off a gallon right now till tomorrow. I was able to get 22 gallons of paint for $12.70 a gallon (get it for $17.70 a gallon from my drywall finisher)

Dark colors cover very well in one coat from white primer, but really need a second coat for best results. Also seems to last a good bit longer than Valspar.

Pics from tonight.

damn, im so jealous man. *turns around and looks at POS house

Hey, did you do your own siding? I need to replace some of my siding. I know to use Z flashers for the horizontal joint...but what is there for the vertical joints?

I am thinking of doing my laundry room with those same tiles What color grout are you using?

Thanks, me either man, me either.

My wife has done a wonderful job with the color combinations, once the white trim goes up it is really going to start making the wall colors pop.

Believe me Will, this is not my first rodeo on a house, it takes time to move up, and I have been so blessed to be able to do so.

I did do the siding that is finished at the moment, yes. Not sure what you mean by Z flashers, and what type of siding are you going with?

That color is Ardesia Blue from HD, we will be using the graphite gray colored grout from Lowes. Should have it grouted by tomorrow evening. Hoping to have all of the tile in the house done by Friday evening (I have Friday off), so I can get the hardwood down this weekend.

the siding will look like that. just wooden sheets that will sit flat. they have flashers that go horizontally between the sheets...but theres nothing for the vertical joints that i have seen.

I will, I am going to do a tile tutorial for you when I do the Jack/Jill bath.

Please, please stay away from T-111 siding, you will not like it at all, and maintenance is a nightmare. Spend the extra money and at least do vinyl if not hardiboard.
