so my pops drove down last night and we went and looked at the place again this morning. realtor was a no show but she called and gave me the door combo to get the key so we could do a walkthrough ... putting an offer in tomorrow, she said she had someone else putting one in too soooooo wish me luck!

noooo, the exterior was all redone a couple years ago but the foundation and framework is from the mid 20's
whoever was renting it just didnt care though, trashed the interior

and yea 1 car detached ... most likely tear it down and turn it into a 2 or 2 1/2 if i get it

 

that's what we call a fixer-upper

 

tear the carpet out, pull the weeds, change cabinet handles, clean the place and it should be alright

Get a home equity line of credit

Redo hardwood floooring
new cabinets and fixtures(kitchen)
new cabinet and fixtures in (bathroom)
update the electrical thoughout whole house
paint

 

at that price...i think most of us cali folks will buy a couple just for the hell of it

i'd tackle the flooring first
easy to do it yourself and cheap
