i have to move this fall ... i have a choice ... rent at 600+ for apartment or 800+ for a house .... or a mortgage at 550 or less. i'd dare say common sense on this one

just making an observation

i'd do the same.. no point in paying high rent when you can often times get a mortgage for a good deal less.

just have to remember theres a down payment / closing costs that wouldnt be with renting ... but my uncle already volunteered to cover the down as first six months rent since he lives with me and i will try working on the closings whatever they be :dunno:

shit i aint got 40k cash :hs:

i figured out why the house seams like a steal though ... totally forgot that directly across the road is a boarded up abandoned school thats been for sale forever, gotta be draggin the property value down ... not a big deal though since its not that big a school and has a HUGE open grass playground
