No job is secure. If you can be hired, you can be fired(or downsized).

I'm in a position where I don't have to work while going to Dive school, if I don't want to. As long as I stay focused and use my time wisely I'll be just fine.

If you really want security...go to prison.

I think I am ok. I moved from being an artist to being in Production. Talent can be farmed overseas, but management has to remain Stateside.

There's actually sometimes a spike of computer peripherals in recessions: People can't buy new computers, but they need to replace components of or get more out of their computer.

I'm marginally worried, because you never really know in a climate like this what costcutting measures will take place :hs:
