i just went to a staff meeting at my internship agency, its a non profit and the executive director announced that they were able to secure a $400k in grants that will hopefully let the agency employ the full staff through the next year and them some to possibly ride out the recession.

My job isnt going anywherem GEICO is one the one most financialy stable companies out there right. Were owned by warren buffet who basicly a shark with his mouth open right now collecting all these dieing companies and makeing a fortune. GEICO is actually hiring its ass off right now to keep up with the growth were seeing this year. Its a good thing to know you dont have anything to worry about as long as you do your job

 

Despite having worked there for 5 and a half years now, it's not super secure. It's unlikely I'd actually get laid off unless the company completely closed up shop, but we've been without shifts for weeks at a time in the past, though luckily that hasn't happened in quite a while. No Xmas bonus this year though Stupid economy
