damn this is making me hungry... I want to start cooking decent stuff for myself, but I can't coordinate the grocery shopping and I keep pretty much no food in the house. :/

 

For veggies, spices, etc. check out your local farmers market. I'm still shocked at the price difference between there and the supermarket. The quality is identical if not better.

Farmers markets around me are done for the year.
Some store near me has a spice rack with 30 spices for I think like 30-40 bucks. Maybe I should do that. Its hard finding recipes that I have to correct spices for.

Look up some recipes to try out... Plan it a week ahead.... prep it and have fun.

 

Fresh > dry. Too much sodium in a lot of the dry spices. I end up garlic'ing the shit out of everything unless its fresh. I need to figure out when our F.M. is done too.

 

u can add some fresh ground pepper on it if u want. when i had made it, i poured some gravy over the chicken and rice... but i forgot what flavor/kind the gravy was so i didnt mention it h:

if u eat chicken, serve white wine. dont be a shmuck and bust out the red wine but serve chicken all of a sudden. and being that ur a wine noob, u dont need no expensive old shit (unless shes a wine drinker). im a wine noob and they all taste the same shit to me h: just make sure the presentation and execution is smooth. the bitches wont notice.

 

Yeah chicks tend to dig white wine (which I know nothing about). I know reds, but I have a refined and dry palate.
