870 with a pistol grip isn't so bad, especially for a righty since the safety placement is at the bottom of the trigger guard.
Sucks for a lefty but not quite as bad as the mossberg safety position. i still have to shift my grip but not any more than i already do w/ the factory buttstock.

Even most handguns I have to adapt because of where the mag releases are located and decocking levers

Typically I'm screwed when it comes to long guns cause I'm a lefty and they're pretty much all built for righties. I have to manipulate everything to make it work for me.

With the mossberg, the safety is perfect for leftys and rightys but once you put a pistol grip on it, either-handed users have to comletely remove their hand from the pistol grip to manipulate the safety. no thanks.
870 Express would be my choice.
Pistol grip, shorter barrel and practice "slicing the pie" with an empty shotty for a couple days. It cuts the corners nicely and is very light while still being surgical in close quarters. remove the load tube to fit 8 shots and call it a day.

Rem would be your best bet if you're going pistol grip. With the Remington, you can just shift your firing hand over to the right under the TG and flip the safety over. you still maintain a bit of a grip on the pistol grip. This obviously would be the same with the standard stock.

That's why I have two. I know how to use them. I just need to pattern the new one
. and get lights on both.

No choice, I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm indecisive on what route I want to go and it would cost me alot to buy all of the options.
I have an idea where I want to go and it should end up costing me around ~100 or so.
