Not true, pursuit of happiness is not a right. It is in the preamble of the declaration of independence, and is merely to show general guidelines as to why the declaration was made the way it was.
The pursuit of happiness is not a right, as it is not in any of the actual articles or amendments of the constitution.
I'll make is easy for you.
Declaraion: August 2, 1776
Constitution: September 17, 1787
See the nine year gap?
The declaration is not law because it was never passed by both the house and the senate of the states. As they did not exist in that function at that time.
And therefore your argument is invalid.

The constitution grants the right to bear arms but it also specifically states "well regulated".
You wont find a bigger pro-gun proponent on this board than I or spanks but I know I can speak for both of us when i say allowing someone to carry again without requiring some sort of basic training is just wrong and dangerous.
If you can't go sit through even 8 hours of training to carry then that's all the more reason to not allow you to carry concealed.
Now I don't think states should limit who can and cant carry as long as they meet all requirements and training. A state like NY that may issue, that's wrong.

Got back yesterday from Georgia & the 2010 USPSA Area 6 Championship
I'll try to sum it up with pics and vids rather than words.
It was a very tough match and I was totally blown away by this:

2nd "B" Class Production out of 30
15th Overall Production out of 106

well we've been slowly getting my grandfathers collection figured out ... we have two guys interested in buying his entire collection of long guns currently at around 200 guns right now. My dad is taking 3 Winchesters ... including a really nice 7mm mag. He is also going to take my grandfathers rifle that he used to hunt. My uncle snagged a couple Winchesters.
I'm going to take the 500 rounds of 5.56 he had already loaded, we found an extra 500 once fire casings, I'm also going to take about 1000 rounds of 9mm he has as well as some new never fired brass and I'm probably going to wind up with the last Winchester lever action he had depending on how much it costs me, can't remember if it's a 30-30 or a 44 mag though. As well as a really nice scope for the AR that the family decided I could just have since gramps and I had been in discussion about it for a while. oh and all the .270 brass we find since that's what I hunt with.
