^notice he did the part behind the front wheels, which is actually a good idea if you don't have mud guards, but left the mirrors alone.
Same here, they just dump gravel, esp. in the parking lots. When I first inspected the front of my car closely, it was like the prev. owner drove 2 ft. behind a truck on a gravel road each day.
at the very least, when you remove that stuff, pull 180 degrees from the surface and pull slowly, and with the least amount of effort necessary. the best way to pull the paint off is if you pull 90 degrees from the surface in one long hard ass pull off the car. in fact, disregard my advice, and pull your paint off...then post pictures for ridicule.
That's good advice, comes off much easier at 180 than 90. Although when I did some paint work on my car, I did pull some of the reg. masking off at 90 (before realizing 180 was easier) and my paint was fine. Shitty quality tape ftw, very low adhesion.
Long drive crew checking in :af:
In CO, you need that shit constantly, or you need to just forget about it. Gravel instead of salt in the winter is the main factor, but there seems to be a lot more road debris in the mountains. The front of my car looks like it's been media blasted with nuts and bolts.

this stuff works great for removing bugs and tar.
you but it into 1/2inch thick slices. first wash with regular sponge and soap then use that sponge (soak it for about 2mins) and it becomes soft. just use it like a sponge with light pressure and the bugs and tar comes off in about 2 passes.
