Default quick osx help!

how do i format a hdd with fat32?
i am in disk util and the only option other than the mac os is ms-dos (FAT)
is this 16 or 32?

Maximum file size is 4gb on a FAT 32 partition. Just to keep in mind.

I would format the drive on a PC. The Mac will have no problem seeing it after you format it Fat32.

Macs see PC's better than PC's see Macs. Please remember that

If you're going to use an external hard drive to access files from a Mac and PC, format the drive on a PC, and your cross platform experience will be more trouble-free.

make a partition that is less than 32gb in size if you want to format fat32. or use a 3rd party utility to format it.

download and use that. man you guys are such noob that you don't even know or remember simple shit like this :fawk:

fyi you can also use windows 98 boot disk to do it.. if you have one of those handy and know how to load the USB drivers for the hdd properly :rofl: not likely
