So we're going to replace soy based oil products with butter and lard... Which isnt much healthier. Not to mention that the price of anything that is baked/fried is going to SOAR like meat and dairy already have...
It is up to the consumer to decide what foods they wish to eat and if they want to eat trans fat prepared foods then so be it, it is none of the governments business in the least.
+1 ... and if enough consumers choose not to eat stuff with trans fats, the restaurant owners will have to reconfigure their foods to please those consumers
