Just last weekend i Upgrade and resotred the iphone so i could use the 1.1.4 firmware. to unlcok, jailbreak, and add Installer (this is application that downloads and install 3rd party app without having to conect to you PC) took me 2 clicks and 10 min of waiting using ZiPhone 3.0

yea that's what I'm worried about, I'm not in need of a smartphone anymore... I just need a phone that can find Wifi and have a decent mobile browser so I can check my work email online ( I played around with the Itouch and I'm guessing it's the same software right?)

Exactly. It's all freeware, so more power to those who can execute and get more out of their stuff.

Heck, even most auto forums were formed on the basis of modding things.

From what I read, ZiPhone makes the firmware changes unreversible. On the other hand, iLiberty+ allows complete reversal through Itunes and allows all updates. I didn't do much research, but that is what I read on the fly.

I tell ya, i was kinda nervous about hacking a $500 piece of hardware that wasn't mine. Thats why I researched if it was reversible....but hey, it was == to like $2 to him w/ the conversion rate and he asked for help :lmao:
