seems odd to give notice when there for less than a month, though i am not disagreeing with you.

Does you being there only a month change the fact that they need time to hire a new person to replace you?

no but from easedropping they have 3 people on hold from various temp agencies. their last three employees lasted anywhere from 2 to 8 months. which makes me nervous since they are so easy to fire employees.

of course most of that is either exaggerated or gossip so i take it for what it's worth.

definitely give your notice... common courtesey, and if any of your prospective employers call them for a reference, it'll look a LOT better than just walking out.
