Default Employment/Job question.

So I quit my go-no-where-job about a month ago and have been employed with a medical office since then. I work for a PA that is highly respected in our medical community and is very knowledgeable in treating cardiovascular, renal, and diabetes problems. I have learned ALOT in the last month I have worked there and he is awesome to work for.

However, I have been trying to get a state job for the last seven months and I have a 98% chance of meeting that goal.

So as far as benefits go, the state job definately tips the scale; however, I can learn and gain so much from this PA if I stick it out as a receptionist.

I'm so torn between getting the benefits I need and the chance to learn so much from someone that has alot to teach.

Knowledge or benefits and money...

If you gain that knowledge, can you use it to move up in the company?

what is your financial situation?

I opted out of a higher paying offer and accepted a position that would give me more experience compared the the other one

I'd go for the State job and secure the benefits. When you're in, you're in.

PA with benefits :shhh:

If you are pretty certain that you will still have the chance at the job in the future, then definitely stick with the PA. If you're not sure, then go for the security/benefits now.
