Ive built 5 Double Star lowers. The finish matches that of the Stag uppers perfectly. The fit is perfect...but that can be said with a lot of lowers these days. It usually comes down to what logo you want

The only place you will really start wanting to pay attention is the trigger grouping which will be the first part that makes an honest difference in the build quality.

I have 3 Double Star lowers right now stripped and in the box and two others that are completed and it's all the same machine.

i found a guy offering RRA lower part kits partially assembled for like 69 shipped and DPMS parts kits partially assembled for like 65 ... i think im going to get the RRA lower parts kit when i get a price verify from him ... then get the RRA national match two stage trigger down the road.
they're so cheap right now it's got me considering building another
It sounds like a lot of manufactures have stepped up their game. I remember hearing of fitting issues back when I was spending a lot of time in the gun shop about 8 years ago. I think the big one was slop between the upper and lower.
