HOLY SHIT ... 99 shipped for lowers ... wiwl are these the lowers you use? impression?
Ive built 5 Double Star lowers. The finish matches that of the Stag uppers perfectly. The fit is perfect...but that can be said with a lot of lowers these days. It usually comes down to what logo you want

I am debating on getting another at $99 shipped and slowly building a dedicated .22 :uhhok:

I have 3 Double Star lowers right now stripped and in the box and two others that are completed and it's all the same machine.

The only place you will really start wanting to pay attention is the trigger grouping which will be the first part that makes an honest difference in the build quality.

i'm sold

double star it is

i found a guy offering RRA lower part kits partially assembled for like 69 shipped and DPMS parts kits partially assembled for like 65 ... i think im going to get the RRA lower parts kit when i get a price verify from him ... then get the RRA national match two stage trigger down the road.

It sounds like a lot of manufactures have stepped up their game. I remember hearing of fitting issues back when I was spending a lot of time in the gun shop about 8 years ago. I think the big one was slop between the upper and lower.

i havent decided

wont be buying the upper till march or april ... wanna take my time and not spend a ton of money right away

looking on midway i think i want a RRA upper or a DPMS

i'm thinking like the RRA midlength but i want a flattop ... i'm gonna prolly put a 4x on it of some sort or an ACOG

edit: def not anything chrome lined
