This isn't for me, it's for a guy I know who isn't very computer savvy at all so any non-windows OSs and overclocking isn't going to work.

ditch lightscribe and get a cheaper case... use savings on better video card.

Oh no, I'm not suggesting you or they use Ubuntu if that's not what you/they want. I just figure most people building their own pc's probably already have a copy of the OS they want.

I see your point on the overclocking though. Unless you are building it for him, I wouldn't recommend it either.

Either way, that system will rock at playing COD4. I have a AMD X2 4000+, 2GB ram and a 7600GT vid card and it plays COD4 at 800x600 with medium settings. It's silky smooth. No it's not the highest res and all the effects and stuff, but it's very playable. Great game.

i just like ordering everything from the same place for simplicity sake

plus, i <3 newegg customer service and the fact that they have a facility in TN that gets stuff here next day.
