computer builders, I'm a noob. Halp.
Update
Case and PSU purchased. Both were the Antec ones on Frys.com yesterday. I'm not looking forward to $100 in MIR, but I'll have to do it to save.
Thanks again to all.
Now onto memory. It seems like Frys.com is clearing house. Which one is better? Both are $55 after $30 MIR.

One thing about the Antec case... I built a system in that case with a pc power and cooling power supply. The cables were nice and long to route along the backside of the case, but I had to take out the fan that is right smack dab in the middle of the bottom between the power supply and lower drive bay.
The bulk of all the cables coming through the plate with the hole in it made it impossible (for me) to run them with the fan in its bracket. I was unsuccessful in getting the fan back in after too. With you power supply choice (modular) you should be a-ok
The only cable that is a real stretch is the CPU power connector that runs to the upper part of the board by the socket. That was actually kind of a close call.
Also, new intel chips are coming this week. 45nm penryn dual cores with quads to follow in the spring. Same architecture as the core 2 duo but a shrink of the die. Cooler and faster!
I saw early reports of the 3.16Ghz dual core hitting 4.5Ghz on air

For regular deals right now, i'm not seeing anything that beats that price. I'd suggest buy it and subscribe to the newsletters for sites. Thats where I saw the specials last time. Worst case, you can return the Fry's one right?
i can't help joo, i just buy computers already built aka dell
bought a laptop recently with vista basic. downloaded vista ultimate dell oem cd and installed it no problem, thats why i buy dell

I'd like to have a desktop in my room. Having a laptop is good for when I use it for work and stuff but a desktop would be good for my room.
