My goal is to build a dual core machine this year for under $300.
I just built one for 169 without the hdd and optical drive.

Drew, the case will be very quiet. If you look how the hard drive sits, it sits on a beezel type thing which you screw into and it has rubber grommets. These grommets reduce vibration and sound from the case, the same thing can be said of the dvd drives, they have the same bays I think. I'm using the Sonata 1 and it has this, it's basically a hum if anything.

Hi Drew,

I have the Antec P180 as well. It's a great case but the front door has a really sharp edge. I used to cut my toes all the time on it so I just put a little tape on that edge.

Other than that it's a great case. Would buy again, and place away from my feets.
