When will you buy your next house?
I don't think I'll buy a house for atleast the next 5 years. I want to be able to afford a house and still live comfortably...which can't happen on my income until I either a.) get a raise/promotion and/or b.) start using joint incomes with a female (girlfriend/wife) to help pay the mortgage.
Employment is going to play a large role in where I decide to buy.... just as much as the state of the housing market and the availability of financing. It makes no sense to buy in the 818 if I wind up working in Anaheim or Newport Beach.
Realistically, I'm looking at a townhome first -- say within the next 5 to 10 years to be conservative.
I'll need to replace the Integra before then, but aside from that, I'm definitely being stingy with my money.

I thought you bought a place already?

I talked to a few builders over the weekend. A lot of them are offering very large incentives right now since the market here has slowed.
Going to live at home for the next 3-4 years and bank as much as possible. Going to get my masters(employer paid) so hopefully I will get a raise too. I would like to have 150K in cash as a DP for a house. Saving 20-30k is somewhat realistic i hope :hs:
